Accessibility
Built to be easy
to read.
Our customers are mostly over 60. A website they have to squint at would be
a strange way to start. Here is what we have done, and how to tell us what we've missed.
What we've done
- Body text starts at 18 pixels — larger than the usual default — and scales
cleanly when you zoom to 200%.
- Text and background colours meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a
"skip to main content" link.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text, and the nutrition panel is published as
a real HTML table as well as an image, so screen readers can read it.
- Headings run in proper order, so screen reader users can jump between sections.
- Animation is minimal, and honours your system's "reduce motion" setting.
- Pages print cleanly if you would rather read them on paper.
Where we fall short
We aim at WCAG 2.1 level AA. We have not had the site audited by an
independent accessibility specialist, so we can't claim full conformance — only that
this is what we built for and what we test against.
Tell us
